About Us
Welcome to The Price Perception Challenge!
We're a dynamic duo, a parent and daughter team who love a good debate and friendly competition. Most of the time, we find ourselves on the same side of a debate and see eye to eye. Whether it's about the color of the sky, the best way to solve a puzzle, or even the smallest details, we enjoy discussing and analyzing our points of view.
This social experiment was inspired by one of our many insightful discussions. My daughter made an intriguing observation that more people would choose to give $0.99 over $1.00 because $0.99 feels significantly less, even though the difference is just a penny. Our shared curiosity kicked in, and we decided to put this theory to the test.
The Price Perception Challenge is our way of exploring the fascinating aspects of human psychology and seeing how our perceptions can influence our decisions. Will people choose to give $0.99 or $1.00? So the questions became, who is right and who is wrong?
Plus, we’re not just doing this for fun. 25% of all contributions will go to charity, making this experiment even more impactful.
Join us in this challenge and help us explore the power of price perception.
